Our Principal

Welcome to the Saint Martin de Porres School website!  My name is Mrs. Mary Jane Daley and I am the Principal of Saint Martin de Porres School.  Saint Martin’s was founded by the Dominican Sisters of Blauvelt in 1964, and we are celebrating 60 years strong this year!

At Saint Martin de Porres School, we embrace the four “R’s”:  Respect, Responsibility, and Rigor under the umbrella of Religion — our faith.  We attend Mass on first and third Fridays, beginning with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and ending with the Rosary.  We also attend Mass on Holy Days of Obligation and special feasts of the Church.  We pray our prayers in the morning, before/after lunch, and before dismissal.

As a “Blue Ribbon” school, we are serious about our academics.  We offer advanced math in grades 5 through 8, culminating with the New York State Regents in Algebra.  The Earth Science Regents program is available for qualifying eighth grade students.
